Our live edge Ebonized Red Oak table top is finished with an old school staining technique where we use a combination of steel wool and vinegar. It reacts to the tannins in the oak and creates a darker color palette. We then added epoxy to harden any softer areas in the wood, and then top coated with a satin sheen water-based urethane coating. This specific type of finish is known for its exceptional durability, requiring little to no maintenance or additional care in the future.
